The Luxton Station Market Society, which operates the Goldstream Station Market, is accepting expressions of interest from enthusiastic and dedicated community members who would be interested in contributing their time and skills serving as a Director on the Board.

The Board is made up of individuals with a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds who operate in a team environment. The Directors help shape the market and its performance including planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of market activities, public relations, community development and promotions.

Board members must exhibit the following qualities:
Keen interest in farmers markets and community development
Ability to meet the minimum time commitment:
– 4-10 hours of time per week along with attendance at markets assisting with operations as needed,
– attendance at board meetings & team meetings, and
– attendance at 1-2 community events per year.
Ability to work well within a team environment.

This is a Working Board so Directors will be expected to participate in all areas of market planning and operations.
